Wrinkle Softening Treatments with

Azzalure® is a safe and effective local muscle relaxant that can temporarily improve the appearance of facial lines associated with the ageing process. Once the treatment is complete you should begin to see a difference within 2 to 3 days. And although the effect is always temporary one treatment can last as long as 4 months.

What is a muscle relaxant treatment?

The muscle relaxant we use is protein based and very safe to use. We inject a small amount into the muscle fibres that control your facial features. When the relaxant takes effect the tension is reduced and the appearance of your wrinkles becomes less noticeable.

Does it hurt?

The relaxant is injected with a very thin needle so you might feel a slight tingling sensation during the treatment but otherwise it’s nearly painless.

When the relaxant wears off will my wrinkles be worse?

No.Muscle relaxants have both a therapeutic and preventative effect on wrinkles. If you stop the treatment, your wrinkles will gradually reappear but they will be exactly as they were before you visited our skin clinic.

Micro-needling is a treatment that uses tiny needles to puncture the top layer of skin to rejuvenate your skin by boosting collagen and skin tissue production for smoother, firmer and more toned skin. It can be effective in the treatment of acne scars, wrinkles and large pores.

What Areas can you treat with micro-needling?

Micro-needling can be used on most parts of the body, including your face, neck, decolletage, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.

How long does the treatment take?

Usually, a micro-needling treatment session only takes about 30-45 minutes depending on how large of an area we’re treating.

How many treatments will I need?

Everyone’s skin and expectations are different and some only require a single treatment per year to achieve results they are happy with. However, some choose 3-4 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart, and patients with deep wrinkles, stretch marks or acne scars receive 6-8 sessions at 6-week intervals.

Sunekos is an injectable treatment for patients looking to restore their natural youthful look and reduce signs of ageing.

It combines amino acids (the building blocks of elastin and collagen) with hyaluronic acid. This formula regenerates your skin and deeply hydrates and ‘plumps’ the treated area creating a ‘volumising’ effect and a significant boost to your elastin and collagen levels.

Sunekos can be used to treat loose and thin skin and help boost the volume around your eyes, neck and face.

How long does Sunekos last?

It’s safe to expect the results to last around 6 months. But a healthy lifestyle and a good skin care regime can extend the results.

When will I start to see the results?

Most people see results in 7-10 days after the completion of the treatment and the results will last about 6 months.

Is the treatment safe?

Sunekos has been proven to be extremely safe and can be used on all skin types with no contra-indications.

Skin Peels

Skin peels use naturally occurring acids and active ingredients to deeply exfoliate and brighten your skin. They stimulate new cell growth and collagen production, helping to reveal fresher, clearer, brighter skin.

After exfoliating your skin, peels encourage new skin cells to grow and stimulate your skin’s natural collagen production to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

How do Skin Peels, Chemical Peels and Resurfacers work?

Skin peels are used worldwide to treat skin conditions such as fine line and wrinkles, acne, hyper-pigmentation and sun damage.

How often do I need a skin peel treatment?

If you have acne scars, hyperpigmentation, dry or damaged skin texture or uneven skin tone, skin peel treatments can be safely performed every four to six months.

How long will my skin take to heal?

Your skin will start to peel roughly around 48-72 hours after your treatment and it can last for 2-5 days. It’s important to remember that you should never pick off the peeling skin and you should use moisturizer to help control it.

Are the results permanent?

After a deep chemical peel your skin will look dramatically improved and will feel amazing. However, the results are not permanent. Over time, sun damage and the natural effects of ageing can lead to skin colour changes and new lines/wrinkles.

Facial (Dermal) fillers

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and reduce the appearance of creases. They can also be used to enhance your natural facial contours.

There are several different dermal fillers available that we can discuss with you during a consultation.

Is the treatment safe?

Most of the popular dermal fillers used today are made of a material using hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance found in body tissues.

It has been used safely in general medical applications for several decades now.

Are the results permanent?

No. The results of a dermal filler are non-permanent, meaning that they are reabsorbed into the body over time.

Is it painful? Will there be any side effect?

We apply a local topical anaesthetic cream 20 -30 minutes before your treatment so the vast majority of our patients have very little, if any, discomfort during the treatment.

As with any procedure of this type, there is a small risk of temporary bruising around the treatment area and slightly swollen facial features as you’re healing.

Aftercare Advice

Every skin treatment we provide will have its own aftercare plan that you should follow to make sure you get the best results. However, no matter which treatment you choose there are a few general guidelines you should follow.

For example, you should:

Give your skin a chance to recover and heal on its own. Avoid washing it for at least 12 hours.

Drink plenty of water- hydration will help the healing process.

Avoid wearing makeup. Cosmetic products can irritate your skin and block pores.

Avoid exfoliating for a few days.

Remember that redness is normal after any of these treatments.

Stay out of the sun and generally follow a healthy skincare routine.
