Your first visit with us is not only a great opportunity for us to get to know each other, but it also gives us a chance to do a thorough assessment and begin creating a treatment plan tailored for you. To make your first visit go smoothly we’ll need some practical information from you, including:
If you’re not a big fan of filling out forms, don’t worry- we’re here to help. We’ll do everything we can to make your visit as simple and relaxing as possible.
It’s also a good idea to arrive 10 minutes early for your first visit to allow extra time to fill out forms.
We love to have a chat and hear why you have come to see u. After this we’ll take a few minutes to check your head, neck, jaw joints, jaw muscles, lips and soft tissues around your mouth and your teeth for any irregularities.
We will then assess your risk for decay, gum disease, wear and general oral health.
It’s also quite common for us to take x-rays so we can see under the surface and between your teeth as well as your bone levels and other areas we can’t see with the naked eye. We take photographs, so you can see what we see.
All of this helps us create your personalised preventative treatment plan.
Once we have all the information we need, we’ll make your individual treatment plan. We will spend time with you, showing you all the x-rays and pictures and discussing your options.
Then together, we decide what treatment options are best for you. It’s then up to you to decide whether our Larne Dental Centre care plan is right for you.
